JT Plumbing Heating & Air
Review Summary
JT Plumbing Heating & Air receives mixed reviews. Positive feedback highlights friendly, helpful, and professional technicians who provide prompt service, resolve issues, and offer detailed explanations. Customers appreciate the company's commitment to customer satisfaction, even when problems arise. Some customers are highly satisfied and would use the company again, even signing up for the VIP membership. However, there are serious complaints about price gouging, specifically for a flex hose replacement, and a lack of integrity. One customer reported a $700+ quote for a flex hose that costs $35 at a retail store, and the company's attempt to capitalize on fear.

JT Plumbing replaced our lift pump on January 2nd, and the technician was fantastic – friendly, respectful, and very helpful. Unfortunately, on January 25th, the pipe pumping out of the lift station broke, just upline from the check valve, leading to an undesirable water leak in our basement. While this was a stressful situation, JT Plumbing responded professionally. They dispatched a technician, assessed the damage, and worked diligently to resolve the issue. We appreciate their commitment to making it right for us in the end. Their dedication to customer satisfaction, even when unexpected problems arise, is commendable. We've used JT Plumbing before, and we'll continue to use them because they've proven they'll fix problems. Here’s my review breakdown for this experience: • Initial Positive (5 stars): The initial service was excellent, with a friendly and helpful technician. • The Problem (1-2 stars): The pipe break and subsequent water damage were significant problems, which lowers the rating considerably. • The Resolution (5 stars): JT Plumbing responded professionally and worked to resolve the issue. Their commitment to making it right is a major positive.

We had a great experience with JT Plumbing. We had a water leak in our kitchen that needed urgent attention and they were able to come by the day that I called, provide a quote and get the job done. Kyle our plumber and was professional, and took care of the problem swiftly making sure to leave no mess. He checked multiple times to be sure the leak was fixed before leaving. He explained everything well and the job ended up coming in lower than the quote. Overall we were super satisfied and will absolutely use them again in the future.

Blake and Dylan did an excellent job servicing our furnace today. A very detailed analysis, including pictures, was provided with detailed feedback explanations for all of it. These two are knowledgeable and provided above the top service and answers to all of our questions and concerns. JT Plumbing & Air has always provided us top notch services. Thank you, Deb and Craig Stewart

My furnace wasn’t kicking on and called JT plumbing and Heat. Blake and Matthews were awesome and came out. They found out the issue and got it repaired quickly. Very reasonable price including the VIP membership. Highly recommend getting their VIP membership. They will come out to inspect and service yearly. Also other great benefits with the VIP membership. Highly recommend JT. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Great overall experience and just right before the winter storm rolling in.

Bryan was great. He give me all the information -detailed pricing, all of our options and explained what the process would look like. When we move ahead with this project, we definitely want him to come back and do the work. Thank you

UPDATE: Since this company decided not to take my review seriously, undermine me, not acknowledge they are price gouging customers... let me CLEARLY state this.... The cost for a new flex hose (for a standard home range) should NOT be more than the cost of a BRAND NEW HIGH END GAS STOVE. Period. The literal cost JT was attempting to charge me for a standard flex hose was over $700.00. This was JUST the cost for the hose. NO LABOR, NO CALL fee. Anyone, and I mean ANYONE, can seek out flex hose prices and figure it out themselves. In fact, I showed the standard price for a hose to the tech ($35) after the over $700 quote, and he said, "Ours are higher quality." How much higher quality can anything be to bring a highly rated $35 hose at Home Depot to $700 more?. He tried to explain Home Depot didn't have the same quality, which is laughable. So, people who are taking the time to read this, you decide for yourself. Would you pay $700 for a flex hose to a standard range? It's not a budget issue. It's an issue of company integrity. In fact, JT was totally ok with me going to Home Depot and buying the hose myself. However, they were going to charge me over $500 to put it on. BUT again, the hose wasn't leaking. Instead, the threads needed to be sealed. As it turned out, the threads were never sealed when the stove was installed (whole other issue), and the threads and connection were as clean as the day it was installed. So, the sealant on the threads and reconnecting completely stopped the issue. The attempted sale of an unnecessary hose is one thing. Trying to sell me a 700.00 hose is another. You're reading this....please take this warning. You will be charged regardless because they are coming out. I already knew what the issue was before they even arrived. So take my warning seriously. Please don't let this happen to you. It's awful to think unsuspecting people would pay that price without realizing the incredible markup. How many people have you they ripped off? Makes me sad. Lastly, for the commenter from JT...yes, gas is dangerous, and I take it seriously. But this was not a scary situation, so dont try to capitalize on fear. Sounds like (from the review) JT believes they are the only ones who could act to serve my needs when, as it turns out, there are many people out there that can do a better job than you, at a REASONABLE price, and doesn't act like crooks. Shame on you for what you did this morning and shame on you for your response. ---- Realized our flex line was leaking at the connection, called JT, to come look at it. They acknowledged there were no holes or leak in the line, only the connection. The tech said that because "flex lines are a one use part," they couldn't remove the connection without replacing the entire line. So, he went to his truck to put together a quote for repair. The tech told me his supervisor insisted on putting in a new flex line. So, with parts and labor, they quoted $900.00 for a replacing the line. I was in complete shock. I asked why it was so expensive, and he showed me they were charging almost $750 for the flex line. So, while he was standing in front of me, I showed him the same flex line for sale at Home Depot for $35.00. His response: "we use a higher quality line." My response is "How can anything be 700.00 more expensive than a high quality line?!" Completely ridiculous. So the tech said he completely understood and wanted to go outside to talk to his supervisor to see what they could do. The tech came back in and said JT would waive the $150 fee for coming out on a Saturday, give me a small discount on the hose, so they could now do it for a little over $700. So I said, "That's ridiculous. If I go buy a flex line, will you install it?" They said yes for over $500. Never EVER ever again will I call them. They completely broke my confidence and trust. Apparently, they price gouge the hell out of people.

It was a double engagement with JT Plumbing. Having just acquired a home in Fort Collins with some age in her, there was a plumbing issue that needed immediate attention and did a great job scheduling time rather quickly to come assess and start the work. Trey jumped right in and while he hit a snag in the repair he did a great job explaining next steps and the scenarios involved as well as solving the problem. Blake was act two as we also acquired a membership plan for HVAC service for the year. He too did a through job and provided a detailed set of options for us to consider along with servicing the units. I’ve always admired the trades as they do some real heavy lifting when it comes to American home ownership…..and JT Plumbing really did a great job for us. I’d highly recommend them.
